Leadership qualities you can develop during a crisis
There’s no denying the lock down took a toll on our mental health.
No matter how you look at it, nobody wanted this to happen. We all had different plans for how this year is going to turn out.
I had every month planned until February 2021. I felt years of work dissipated in a matter of hours.
But then I realised I’ve lost revenue but not the things I’ve done and learnt along the way.
A growth mindset
Things aren’t going to just go back to normal in a couple of weeks. We’ll be different and so will the rest of the world. Adopting a growth mindset can help us move forward now.
One of my favourite quotes is “Everyone is broken by life, but some people are stronger in the broken places.” Can we learn from this? Nothing comes easily and a lot of us have very different problems now to a month ago.
But can we use this time to learn and grow? To give a different dimension to our life and connections ? To gain skills and read the books we have always put on hold because we didn’t have enough time in the race we were all trapped before the lock down ?
Take a moment and think about the story you’re going to tell at the end of this. A story that produces action and mobilises you and the ones around you to think and feel differently.
